One World Environmental Solutions have been included in Zero Waste SA’s website as a supplier of Biodegradable and Compostable products that stand the rigours of the Australian Standard AS 4736 - 2006. Descriptions of our products can be found in the products section of our website.
We have added a section to our website dedicated to products OWES has for sale. Currently you will find information on our compostable bags both for shopping and for commercial application in transporting food organics for processing. More products to come!
We are dedicated to the local manufacture of our products for our local markets and we currently have products manufactured in Australia and are working on the future manufacture of more products in Australia and here in Adelaide. We combine with an extensive network of manufacturers globally to produce the best result available for our clients around the World.
Last year the OWES team had difficulty finding Christmas cards made from recycled materials. After a lot of searching we are pleased to say we found a great little Australian business called ‘Sandy Brennan’s Hand Made Cards’, and you can check out her cards here www.sandyscards.com
Recently Geoff and Brian visited many of our rural councils in South Australia to discuss how they manage their waste and recycling.
This is part of an initiative by Zero Waste S.A. and the Local Government Association to better understand the capacity and the value of recycling in country areas. One World Environmental Solutions will help provide country councils with the tools to assist them in considering the key elements required for effective curbside recycling. Along the way they have discovered some very impressive local efforts in separating and handling recyclables.
One World Environmental Solutions are currently moving to larger premises at 374 Cormack Road Wingfield, our contact details have not changed but we will have limited email access over the next couple of weeks. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.
Geoff has recently been visiting our New Zealand friends and spreading the word on regional subsidiaries & resource sharing in waste management, transport logistics & systems of collection, container deposit legislation & extended producer responsibility, and diversion from landfill including food organics collection systems.
On this whistle-stop tour of the North Island he met with numerous councils and regional organisations in Wellington, Auckland and Whangarei. Meetings were also held with Members of Parliament and officers of the Ministry For the Environment. Hot topics of discussion were KPIs, CDL, Levies, and Making contracting work for all involved. Futurology was also high on the agenda. Many thanks go to the hard working team at Envision New Zealand, especially Warren Snow and Julie Dickinson, for making the arrangements and assisting Geoff on this trip.
Some councils immediately extended an invitation to come back - due to the demand Geoff is planning a return for early 2008!
On the 8th of June 2007 ABC Radio conducted the following interview with The CEO of Eastwaste, Geoffery Johnston. This interview was a precursor to one of Eastwaste’s popular “Inovation of South Australian Waste Management” Tours. Continue reading ‘ABC Interview with Tim Noonan’
See how the Burnside trial became a news item on local television and how simple the system is when in use in you kitchen or that of your residents. Diversion from landfill of the food organics reduces Green House Gases and does the World of good for our soils.
Don’t forget, the baskets and bags (amongst many other products) are available from One World.
