It is clear that the Aussie Kitchen Mate™ (branded the ‘Jeffries Food Basket’ in NAWMA) is a real winner!
This is what the letter said;
The Northern Adelaide Waste Management Authority is currently in the process of issuing to residents, at their request, food organics baskets for the kitchen (marketed as the ‘Aussie Kitchen Mate’).
By all accounts the baskets have proven to be successful in encouraging residents to remove food scraps from the general waste stream and into the garden and food organics collection system.
There is a high degree of satisfaction with the baskets, by way of their appearance, simple and practical design and sturdiness. They blend in well sitting on the kitchen bench with other appliances.
I have no hesitation in recommending the use of the baskets for the collection of food organics in a kitchen.
